TARA WEBSTER ATCL
PRINCIPAL
Tara is an accomplished musician, having studied music since the age of seven, and has achieved distinctions at the highest level in numerous musical disciplines. She is well known for her work as a vocal teacher and also teaches a wide range of instruments from the piano through most woodwind and strings. Tara is an Associate Teacher of the Trinity College and Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and is continuing her studies to become a Licentiate Teacher of the Trinity College and Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Her professional musical career began at the BBC in 1988, where her talents saw her quickly promoted to the youngest BBC Radio Producer for Schools Radio there had been. She wrote and produced many musical productions for radio persuading many stars such as Tom Baker, Bill Oddie, Toyah, Danny John Jules and Bonnie Langford to take part.
She also produced many popular schools music series such as The Music Box, Time and Tune, Singing Together and Music Workshop.
Throughout her career, Tara has always enjoyed teaching others and passing on her skills, and since the birth of her daughter in 1998, teaching has become her passion. She teaches both privately and in schools, working on a one to one basis as well as being a specialist teacher of music in the National Curriculum in many primary schools.
She has worked as the Musical Director for several well known theatre schools working on many different productions and took the decision to open her own stage school enabling her to bring together her extensive skills.
TEACHERS
All our teachers are CRB (Police) checked and requested to become licensed chaperones. We ensure they have theatre school or previous appropriate teaching experience as well as having worked on the stage themselves.

REBECCA FOWLER FDI (Modern Theatre, Tap, Jazz)
DANCE TEACHER
Rebecca has been dancing since the age of two, where she trained at Hildale
Academy of Performing Arts. She achieved her Foundation in Dance Instruction
at Tiffany Theatre College, and now continues her training at the Anthony
Clifford Dance studio where she will shortly finish her Certificate in Dance Education.
Rebecca is a bubbly and enthusiastic individual. She is passionate about dance and teaches at several dance schools around Essex. Rebecca is experienced at teaching the ISTD syllabus to both children and adults, preparing them for
examination success. She has choreographed many shows and displays in the
local area, with her remarkable choreography skills keeping her in demand.
Rebecca is a professional performer and her performance credits include:
“Fame”, “One Night Broadway”, variety shows at Her Majesty’s Theatre in the
West End and regular shows at the Civic Theatre in Chelmsford. She is due to perform in “Another Night on
Broadway” this season.
Rebecca’s love of dancing extents to her spare time, and likes nothing more than a night out with her friends
dancing the night away. When she does have a spare minute, which is rare, she can sometimes be
watching a good film, probably something starring the handsome James Marsden (XMen)!
GEMMA LORD BA (Hons) Acting
DRAMA TEACHER
Having graduated from Bretton Hall with a BA (Hons) Acting degree, Gemma
now works as drama coach at several established Stage and Theatre Schools
and also works as a professional Actress at a national touring Theatre
company.
Gemmas’ credits are numerous and varied, some of which include:

Gemma is also an accomplished musician, being ABRSM qualified at grade 8 on both the violin and flute.
She has performed as a violinist in productions of Charlie Brown, Metamophosis and Cabaret, and has
participated in music tours across Europe as a soloist and with various ensembles. Gemma has also
performed at The Royal Festival Hall, St Paul’s Cathedral and has performed personally on the violin for
Evelyn Glennie and The Lord Mayor of London.
Gemma is a keen theatregoer,
as perhaps you would expect, with favourite musicals being Rent and
Wicked, and her favourite playwright Steven Berkoff.
JOANNA JONES
VOCAL TEACHER
Following in the footsteps of her parents and grandparents, Joanna
became involved in the music industry at a very young age, and has
been involved in either performing or coaching ever since.
Joanna completed her performing arts studies in London and then moved
to Australia with her family where she continued her interests in music
and the performing arts. Whilst in Australia, she toured extensively as
lead vocalist for a number of established popular bands.
Since returning to the UK, Joanna has performed professionally in her
own solo act and has been lead vocalist in the six piece
function band “UNoHoo”,
entertaining crowds of several thousand!
Joanna still performs professionally today in her own band, "Chasing Ora",
where she mainly plays in London. She also coaches vocals on a one-to-one
basis at her home near Clacton, and works at a number of
Theatre and Stage Schools throughout the region.
Joanna is a talented song writer and musician, being ABRSM qualified in the piano and LCM
qualified vocally, and has taught at a number of music and theatre schools both in the UK and
Australia.
Among Joanna’s list of credentials, included are abundant singing sessions for many different song
writers, winner of various song writing and talent competitions, and appearances on television and
radio.
Contrasting with her band work, Joanna enjoys playing the classical piano, dancing with her friends, and running her huge dogs along the sea front!
